With warm weather and the ground unthawed we harvested the Sunchokes and mulched the asparagus bed. My Russian ancestors would take the dried raspberry canes and brew them into a nice tea.

We continue with pruning fruit trees, re-wiring raspberry rows, digging out raspberry and strawberry starts.

A general garden clean up that Luella, age 6, and Koa, age 3, help us with.

We have a new garden patch we are preparing with maple tree mulch spread out, some elk manure, chopped seaweed, coconut peat etc.

Presently Sockeye salmon are spawning in Oliver Creek. We witness them coming upstream daily to the slower gravel pools!

Some curly willows have been transplanted from pots into areas nearer to the farm house and lower field.
