Seed Saving

Back 40 years ago when raising my children and gardening, my late friend Winnie Imrie and I started a seed bank and exchanging seeds we saved. I now have that seed bank years later and need to grow out the seeds. We both participated in seedsavers.org and exchanged seeds with others.

Doukhobor seed saving

My Baba Strelieve had saved seeds from years back and I some of inherited them. As well as from my parents who always saved their seeds from their large household garden in Kelowna BC. As I as unable to grown them out every year, I now with a working farm look forward to seeing how they do. Some of the seeds from my Baba Strelieve are broom and a Russian Tomato – a small early tomato.

Here is some sites on seed saving.
